Our Staff Team
We have an excellent team of highly skilled and professional carers and staff to look after you. Each carer undergoes continuous training to help ensure we deliver the highest quality services to enable us to meet you needs.
As part of our recruitment process, we carry out thorough checks before taking on new staff, including each new member of staff undergoing a disclosure and barring service (DBS) check, to ensure they are honest and trustworthy before coming into your home.
Our care workers will always have an ID badge and be in uniform.
Can I smoke during my visit?
Whilst we understand that we are providing a service in your own home, we have a duty of care to our employees to protect them as much as possible from risk, including from passive smoking or second-hand smoke. With this in mind, we operate a no-smoking policy and politely ask that you refrain from smoking up to 30 minutes before your care visit is due, and for the duration of the care visit.
Care records and electronic call monitoring
We use an electronic system to record and store our notes following each visit, along with the start and end times and duration of each visit for extra peace of mind. The system we use allows our carers to access key information specific to each visit, including what tasks are required and what medication is to be administered. The carers can also submit their notes through this system
External inspections
In addition to our own self-assessments, we also have regular contact with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) to ensure we are complying with the required industry standards. CQC inspect our services to ensure we are providing good quality care and copies of our latest inspection reports are available to see via our website.
Referrals to the fire brigade
Saxon care can make a referral to the Fire Brigade on your behalf, should you need smoke alarms, carbon monoxide detectors, flame retardant bedding or a home safety check
What is the client portal?
The client portal is a space available online where you or any nominated friends or family can access information we have on the system like your care notes from each visit or your weekly rota
